Price to include postage Scottish Basket Hilted Broadsword This basket hilted broadsword is the type used by the cavalry, and is constructed with a hole for the reins to come through. Although the sword is a full sized sword, the basket, which I believe to be late 17th century, is smaller than many that are seen from this period. Having said this, I can get my hand in, and I am not a small person, but it is a squeeze and if I was wearing a gauntlet it would be virtually impossible, so I believe this was made for a small man or for a youth.
The basket is in good condition. The is one small repair. It is solid and with no breaks or cracks.
The blade is possibly slightly later and is virtually identical to the blade I have on a Scottish Basket Hilted Broadswrod for Other Ranks which has the Stirling Castle stamp.
The blade measures hilt to tip 31.5" (79.5 cm)
The blade has a single fuller which appears possibly to have had some inscription or marks within the fuller, but it is totally illegible and can only be discerned when holding the blade in certain light and at a certain angle (not possible to photograph).
The handle is wood. Probably a replacement.
A good sword at the right price to enhance any collection. Officer's shoulder belt and pouch Officer's shoulder belt and pouch. Black Russian leather in good solid condition but with surface cracks.
Complete with pouch furnished with plate bearing kings crown and letters BC decorative. Pouch has metal insert.
Whistle on chain which works. Chains fastened with Lion head bosses. Plate with sailing ship surround by ornate wreath with Kings crown on top. Inside of belt stamped with 24.
Short Court (Levee ) Sword Overall length 31.5" 80cm
Blade length 24 " 61cm approx
No visible maker's mark but blade has small traces of decoration remaining. Blade is in good polish with a couple of very small isolated blemishes.
The guard and knucklebow are highly decorated with a design matched on the chape nd collar of the leather scabbard. The pommel is an elegant pierced sphere which matches the pierced design of the handguard.
The handle is wound with alternating coiled wire and gilt strips- these are a little loose but intact. The handle has a little movement on the tang but the blade is fast.

CETME Assault Rifle (De-activated) Developed by the Germans at the end of WW2 as the MP 45, then produced in Spain as the CETME.
The rights were then purchased by Heckler and Koch and produced as the G3.
Carrying handle is missing on this particular gun, but nevertheless a good example of an item not often seen offered for sale.

It is a well made blunderbus . The woodwork is nicely grained and is solid. However there is a crack by the ramrod- please see photographs, and a hairline fissure where the grain has opened up on the stock.
The only stamps I can find is '519' stamped on the brass trigger guard.
It has a good working action.

The barrel is in good condition with a little bit of what appears to be housedust/nicotine staining.

1860 American Civil War Sword This is an 1860 pattern American Civil War Sword.

Thickness of back edge 1cm
There is wear on the grip- the leather has been worn through to the wood in a manner suggesting much use where the thumb would grip. This may indicate that the sword was in use for a longer period, into Indian Wars of the 1870s. A slight bend to the brass handguard is also commensurate with long and active use.
The blade is in good solid condition, but has been thoroughly cleaned at some point, or has been kept cleaned for its life. It is in excellent polish. It has Solingen stamped on the blade just under the guard.
The metal scabbard is also in good cleaned condition. There is a nick and a slight dent at the top, suggesting damage caused in use rather than by time.

Texas Spurs- Original 19th century American Cattleman's Spurs These are probably Texan , possibly Mexican.
They have silver pesos attached to teh side of each spur- please see photograph. There is also a smaller Mexican coin on the side of the rowels. There is some silver and bronze decoration. The decoration and the pesos are worn as if by working wear, and have been attached to these spurs , I would think, for over 100 years.
Complete with old leathers and newer straps.
(The older letaher is worn and cracked, but this adds to ther appearance and ambience.

It is in very good overall condition except the zipper is missing. All the teeth are present.
It has had a professional period repair on the outside (low down on the side under the arm) . On the inside there are some corresponding marks and small tears that look as if they may have been caused by shrapnel as there is also remains of staining in this area.
There are some grubby marks on the outside, but nothing to concern too much bearing in mind the age and use of this garment.

Good overall condition. Handle a little loose.
No 17 is stamped on back of blade and on scabbard. No other discernible stamps or marks on blade- no makers name on blade.

It is of a simple rectangular profile - the pommel cap and ferrule reinforce the wooden hilt and protect against damage. The weapon is carried in a traditional metal mounted sheath. This sgian dubh form is the ultimate development from the earlier sgian Acklais types and Celtic styles 18th century designs- it is a functional and dress weapon and the style is still in use today.

This is a very old sword. The blade is rusty but solid.
There are some nicks to the edge of the blade.
A rare opportunity to own a genuine Chinese antiquity. English Halberd-Antiquity This is the head of an English Halberd- alledgedly recovered from the River Thames close by the Tower of London.
The English Halberd was the definitive weapon of the guards at the Tower of London. [Beefeaters]
The head has the original iron fixings to the remain part of the wooden shaft. The item is rusty as would be expected but absolutely stable.

This is an extrememly rare opportunity to own this sort of antiquity. English Civil War Triple Bar Helmet This is a genuine English Civil War helmet.
It has a 'triple bar' face guard and fixed neck protector tail.
Ear flaps have remains of leather straps rivetted- these look to have been cut off at some point.
There is some rusting to the earflaps and face guard, but overall the helmet is in solid stable condition with a dark age patina.
There is a makers mark aboove the left ear flap.
The hinge of the triple bar has had a crude repair to it- possibly contemporary.
An extremely desirable item and rare opportunity to own a piece of English History.
